Since his first release in 2003 on the infamous Deathchant imprint, Miike Hayward (aka The Teknoist) has proven himself to be an unstoppable force in the worlds of breakcore and hardcore. He's one of the few “core” artists who isn't afraid to incorporate all styles and influences into his work. Be it breaks, dnb, dubstep or metal, The Teknoist will find a way to mesh it altogether and to make it work with his unique sound.
As well as notching up an impressive array of releases on such labels as Rebel Scum, Planet Mu, Sustained Records, Peace Off, Cock Rock Disco and 2 full length albums on Ad Noiseam, The Teknoist also setup the Ninja Columbo label, spiritual home to his long term collaborators Dolphin and Scheme Boy.
His reputation as a stand out live performer, using both Ableton and turntables, almost surpasses his recorded output and has seen him tour the world extensively from Manchester to Tokyo and beyond.
