Ik gebruik FL STUDIO op Windows 7 waarbij ik ASIO4ALL v2 gebruik. Ik gebruik op deze laptop geen externe geluidskaart. Het probleem wat ik ervaar heeft betrekking dat ik geen combinaties van verschillende audio-mogelijkheden (windows media player, youtube, soundcloud) kan gebruiken als ik FL open heb. Omgekeerd is dat ook het geval. Dit heeft enkel een weerslag op FL.
Als ik een andere output selecteer dan ASIO4ALL dan heb ik dit probleem niet meer. Ik kan ook niet wisselen tussen verschillende projecten, omdat één project telkens het volledige geluid opeist.

Op mijn vorige laptop had ik dit probleem niet. Ik had wel een goedkopere externe geluidskaart, maar zelfs zonder die geluidskaart kwam dit probleem niet voor. Ik heb verschillende forums afgeschuimd, maar niets relevants of bruikbaar gevonden. Ik krijg eveneens geen toegang tot www.asio4all.com, om misschien een nieuwe versie te gebruiken. Ik weet niet als dat zelfs noodzakelijk zou zijn. Misschien schuilt het probleem in mijn huidige standaard geluidskaart, maar ik zou het op dit moment echt niet weten.

Ik hoop dat mijn probleem/vraag duidelijk is.

this is true - every app talking to ASIO expects that it is the only thing touching the soundcard at that point in time. that's the way it gets low latency. i've noticed some drivers do actually let two things play at the same time but they really shouldn't be able to.

Ik heb toch een oplossing gevonden door een maat van mij.

I succeeded in simultaneously using foobar2000 and energyXT with asiomulti & ASIO4ALL. My sound chip is Realtek HD Audio, specifically ALC1200 - however, this should work with any devices and applications, assuming that you are able to use ASIO4ALL normally.

    Here's how I did it:
    1. Install asiomulti.
    2. Start up the asiomulti server and make sure it is using ASIO4ALL as the target driver.
    3. Start up application A, set output to "ASIO Client" (this is the asiomulti virtual device).
    4. Close application A.
    5. Start up application B, set output to "ASIO Client".
    6. Configure application B to use the same sampling rate and bit depth as application A.
    7. Start up application A.
