The first De:tuned of 2011 will be a special old school club edition dedicated to the club sounds of the early to mid 90s. This was a time when house, trance, techno and acid were part of almost every DJ set. Once again De:tuned has invited two guest DJs who were part of that early club scene and therefore know their stuff.
Our first guest doesn’t need any introduction. FRANKY ‘the doctor’ JONES played at almost every important Belgian club or rave to date. In addition to this he was also one of the first Belgian DJs who really made an impact abroad. Franky is known for his versatility and ability to cross over between different styles. He will once more prove this at De:tuned with a special Globe and Montini influenced DJ set.
We’re very glad to welcome FRED NASEN as our second guest. Although most people will know him as a tech-house DJ, producer and label owner, Fred started his DJ-career in the early 90s at the infamous At The Villa parties, the Balmoral afterclub in Ghent and the H2O club. In those days Fred played clubby house and smooth trance and was already a well in demand DJ. Fred only does a limited amount of old school DJ sets a year, so be sure to catch him at De:tuned for one of his trademark house and trance sets!
As you’ve come to expect residents/promoters Bonny and Konnekt will take care of the warm-up and come-down. They will be digging deep in their record collections again to provide you with a mixture of classic and obscure trance, house, techno and acid.
