His debut album "Love Remains", a lo-fi electronic RnB concept, has been released by Tri Angle, the label behind releases from Balam Acab and oOoOO., and it is probably one of the best records in 2010, acclaimed by Pitchfork (8.7/10, best new music), RA, Drownedinsound (9/10), FactMag, and even Humo and Rif Raf amongst others. HTDW creates music that is provocative and compelling. Though the arrangements are remarkable, it is Krell’s singing voice that truly carries this record. At the heart of each song there is a chorus of disarmingly beautiful vocal lines that are as angelic as they are harrowing.
Comparisons have been made to hypnagogic-popsters James Blake, Jamie Woon, Twin Shadow and oOoOO. HTDW recently made a remix for Matthew Dear, and has already been confirmed at both Sonar and Roskilde festivals in June 2011. Very first and exclusive appearance in Brussels !
