Seal Phûric

S-Virus

Subscan

van Ambivalance Records

Seal Phüric] is a multi-disciplinary artist in sound & writing from Brussels who performed several DJing gigs & live-acts in different European countries, officially since 92’ with the [BWP] DJ crew.

He developed his own musical productions under the pseudonyms of [Seekness] & [Virtus] on the Belgian [Re-load] label, & collaborated on some records with [Acid Kirk]. During this period, he managed the artistic direction of the [Re-Load Ambient] record label section.

He then worked about 5 years on some musical orders for choreographers such as [Claudio Bernardo], in Belgium, Switzerland or Brazil... (also collaborated on ‘Moving Target’ for [Frederic Flamand])

In 2000, he created his own independent record label [AMBIVALENCE recordz] which 3 first releases were co-produced with the German Industrial reference label [Ant-Zen/Hymen].

He then went to the [Royal Academy of Mons] to study electroacoustic & acousmatic techniques, in order to experiment the audio ‘spacialisation’ through multi-speakers special XP setups (up to 44 independent HPs), and did play such live performances, sometimes combined with instrumental talents such as experienced cello player & conductor [Jean-Paul Dessy], accompanied by some acoustic performers of his [Ensemble Musiques Nouvelles]. These specific encounters encouraged him to suggest, push & develop the birth of the very first cello & voice album from [Claire Goldfarb] (co-produced with Homerecords.be).

Also known under different aliases like Zeal Phürax, So4 (as reviewer) or Don Quishoote (activism for freedom of speech), he now concentrate onto his first original desire : music & sound-design for movies. Some internationally acclaimed short films and other post-production works were created with his partner [trionix], co-manager & sound engineer for Ambivalence releases (...now known for his own [Depotax] project). Most short movies scored were internationally acclaimed & awarded, such as the XP documentary [Ergon] by [Joël Godfroid] (8 prizes - 1 for best musical composing), [Anthropeau] (by same director) kinda abstract fable based on the work of his sculptor friend [Benalô], or [Deux Soeurs] by Belgian director [Emmanuel Jespers]. He was then asked to work on the original score of a 3D movie produced by Canal+ France, from famous [de Crecy]’s French animators crew : [Berni's Doll] by director [Yann Jouette], which won 22 international prizes & was edited into the [Reperages] typical French magazine for animation. Recently, he did the sound for [Artificial Paradise, Inc], a 3D challenging experimental short which was viewed by more than 250.000 people on the web, was screened in several festivals all over the globe, and has been recently edited in the famous Canadian [Stash] magazine.
Zeal just finished 2 clips for a French traditional Gladiator conglomerate (ancestral fighting / sport discipline), and a new score in an bizarre movie called [Espèce(s) de patate(s)] by youg French talent [Yoann Stehr], produced by famous Belgian animation school La Cambre,

Seal Phüric did produce 9 solo records, 5 collaborations, appeared on a bunch of international compilations, helped different records to be released, and did edit 15 artist’s releases on his own label.

He is currently working since years now on experimental literature for a particular book called [Exhalaisons Suffocantes], and also onto a complex original scenario for a multi-techniques graphic comics called [ConcordanceS] (drawn & computer enhanced by author [Larry Castillo]) - this Sci-Fi & conspiracy script is originally planned to be published on the web with sound aspects & sprawling links to related references & linked art medias by close collaborators.

Einóma geboekt voor de chillout
vettig http://www.myspace.com/einoma

Einóma is a collaboration between two Icelandic friends and studio partners, Bjarni and Steindór. Prior to the genesis of Einóma and their intriguing, mysterious strain of experimental electronica, Bjarni and Steindór initially collaborated on short films, writing scripts and playing with sound and camera techniques. As Bjarni and Steindor's interest in film diminished, the duo began composing their own recordings somewhere between the experimental electronic music, that they say they had been listening to and the ambience that they had hoped to attain with their short films. The first year, almost everything they wrote was without beats - ambient pieces with a lot of vocal samples and distorted sounds.

Einoma's subsequent experiments with rhythm prompted the release of their debut EP, Floating Point By Zero, via the frequently intriguing Icelandic label Uni:form.

A year later the pair singed to Vertical Form and released their debut album the same year. Undir feilnótum was a deeply atmospheric album, incorporating eight tracks and clocking in at 38 mins in length. Each cut firmly demonstrated their obsessive skill for programming, intricate sequencing and rhythmic construction providing a body of work consisting of varying themes, moods and tempo's.

After having spent months meticulously sculpting new tracks, Milli Tónverka was released. The album..s title roughly translates to "Music that lies in-between" and indeed, Einóma does reach into the firmament and pull from their electronic husksan essence and soul of great weight and darkness. This is music created with the heart of high technology and the soul of a spirit world not usually seen with human eyes. The albums nine tracks collectively characterize Einóma..s music as severe, majestic, glacial, and unsettling.
