Felipe Andres Coronel (born February 19, 1978), better known by the stage name Immortal Technique, is an American rapper and political activist. He was born in Lima, Peru and raised in Harlem, New York.[2] Most of his lyrics focus on political issues. The views expressed in his lyrics are largely a mixture of commentary on issues such as politics, poverty, religion, social class and racism.

I know this movement is what it is because of the soldiers and supporters we have. The people who are independent thinkers and whose political opinion and motivation to understand this world better and to try and find solutions to the problem instead of just making money milking it, deserve most of the credit. These people are not just "Angry niggaz from the hood," or leftist white kids from college, or golden era Hip Hop lovers, cultural purists or disgruntled US Military personnel, these aren't just individuals who "hate cops" or are mad at the system. These are people who are students of history, who have paid dues in their city and in the prison industrial complex, kids who are the new generation that will one day seek to the right to have a say in their own country. These are people who do not blindly follow a religion or political party. They want to and are beginning to understand the system in it's inner workings in order to find a method of changing their lives and putting as much truth that is purposefully kept from us out there.
