Concept:

Retro-Acid is Kozzmozz' second oldest concept and celebrates the joys that we experienced thanks to the infamous silver box, the Roland TB-303 bass machine, the machine that made such a huge impact on electronic music, and is still today a big influence for many artists. It sure as hell made us dance till the break of dawn and beyond… and we’re still losing our minds over this today! In other words, Retro Acid is thé party for any 303 fan and its unmistakable oldskool Acid sound. The silver box was originally designed in 1982 for guitar accompaniment, but in the hands of the Chicago acid pioneers, the 303 revolutionized electronic music for good!

On previous editions, a lot of acid heroes and pioneers from all over the world (DJ Pierre, Acid Junkies, A Guy Called Gerald, Miss Djax, Phuture 303, Dr. Motte, Tyree Cooper, Oliver Bondzio, Like A Tim, Brixton, Random XS, Richard Bartz, Woody Mc Bride,  … ) worked the silver 303 box at Retro Acid, treating us to the entire spectrum from the early 80’s acid house to the harder 90’s evolution …

And again we’ve come up with a nice mix of artists who will be bringing us all that acid has to offer …
 
Thomas P. Heckmann is a man of many aliases and many labels. He started out on labels as Force Inc, Labworks and Djax-Up-Beats, but quickly took control over his own output with various labels as Trope Recordings and Wavescape on which he produced tracks that made it to both the commercial and underground scenes. Lately he restarted AFU Ltd and re-released some of his biggest tracks and collaborations with among others the prolific Butch. Very recently he released a new compilation on Trope recordings, containing all tracks from the early 12 inches plus rare and unreleased tracks. Look out for Age, Analogue Generated Energy, The Force Inc Years 1990 – 1993, soon to be followed by vol.2 1993-1998!

Legowelt hails from The Hague and is part of the vibrant underground collective Bunker Records. He started producing for them in 1998. He’s known for various timeless classics among which the track that put him on the map, ‘Disco Rout’ on Cocoon Recordings back in 2002. He has numerous releases under his belt under various pseudonyms on various labels such as Bunker, Clone, Crème Organization and his very own Strange Life Records on which he unleashed no less than 3 albums as well as several 12” on his own and with Orgue Electronique. For Retro Acid he will perform a live acid set without the TB-303. A unique performance you can’t afford to miss.

The guys from RaveOurSouls have been creating quite a buzz these last few months and have been conquering the Belgian nightlife and festival scenes like a storm with their specialized oldskool rave sets and their RaveOurSoul parties. Their names keep popping up everywhere. And now they have also started to produce with a first release ‘Fuckingyourshitup’ on their own label out now! For Retro Acid they will play an exclusive acid set for all of you acid heads!

Our long-time resident Spacid and musical chameleon will be in charge of warming up the place and get your hips moving. And for the closing set, not to be missed, Dj Kozz, who started Kozzmozz and Retro Acid with Matthias Kerckhof back in the day, will get behind the decks after a long absence from Retro Acid. Expect some uncompromising hard-ass banging acid, Kozz style!

T.P. Heckman is wel een originele naam, hopelijk draait die dan ook geen acidplaten zonder tb303 :)

Same here ma miss kut vo de bezetting daar... 't Is lijk as er één acid feeste gegeven wordt de rest rond dezelfde periode valt. Kom goe uit vo te flyere. Is er nergens één de 16de-17de?  :hungry:

Moestet dien Narcosis niet zijn zouk mss hier wel keer naar toe geweest zijn. Legowelt en Thomas P Heckmann wil ik absoluut wel keer zien, maar kamuseer mij altijd veel te veel op die narcosisen.
