'k had al eens een thread gemaakt om te smeken voor tutorials, maar we zitten weer in dezelfde slump.
Ik zou heel erg graag meer breakcore en jungle breaks maken, maar door mijn programma gaat samplen en samples cutten quasi niet.
Elke kick, snare, hihat, moet ik van de grond af aan opbouwen, en dan elke break in 16e noten uitschrijven.
Daarover zit ik met een gans pak vragen, hoe deftig syncopaten zonder dat alles lawaai wordt [Vooral daar héél veel domme vragen over), hoe verschilt een ride van een open hihat, etc etc.
Ook héél veel crude basics (mastering en aan te raden hz voor snares / toms; Hoe "slice" ik beat zogezegd; hoe blijft een track toch dik rechtendoor onder al de chaos;..), maar dus altijd met de gedachte in het achterhoofd dat we niet met samples en loops werken, maar met drum tabs e.d.erg graag amen breaks en andere breakcore toestanden kunnen programmeren.
De tutorials die ik nu vind vertrekken quasi allemaal van samples en loops die gecut worden. Maar er zijn een paar stappen die ik mis vooraleer ik daar eigenlijk aan kan beginnen. Vraag is of er iemand is die ongeveer aanvoelt wat de vragen zijn, en goesting heeft om af en toe lastig gevallen te worden met vreemde vragen.
Om ongeveer het niveau "domme vraag" duidelijk te maken:
1) 'k heb de amen break drum tab. Daar zitten karakteristieke bassdrums in. o-o-------oo---- Geweetwel. Als ge een 4x4 kickdrumpatroon hebt, gelayerd onder de amens: filtert ge de amen basdrum eruit, of verdwijnt die automatisch in de mix? Wat doet ge daar precies mee?
2) Ik heb de drum tab van de Hot Pants break. Is 't genoeg om die na te maken en op 230 bpm te zetten en dan te slicen? Of moet er nog iets gebeuren voor dat we er mee kunnen knippen en plakken?
3) Hoe deftig knippen/plakken zonder té chaotisch te worden aka how do i syncopate? Bv in Hot pants hebt ge ne
BD - Ohh - Crash- - - S - h - h - h - S - h - h - S -h -S. Het stukje ShhhShhShS vind ik heel cool.
Moest ik daar nu de helft van willen pakken en laten herhalen voor ne "stutter", hoe weet ik ongeveer waar te kopiëren zonder dat het pure chaos wordt? Mij aan de 0,4,8,12 houden? Op de beats en de offbeats blijven?
4) Zijn er dingen a la db glue die ik zou kunnen namaken en die easy recommandabele tricks zijn?
5) Op gameboy zijn ahihats e.d. van white noise dat aangepast wordt. OHH en CHH zijn makkelijk te maken (hoogste noot white noise verkrijgbaar en dan gewoon de sustain veranderen). Een crash of snare is meestal gemaakt door 7 tonen white noise te pakken en supersnel te arpegieren.
Maar ik zit mij vaak wat scheel te kijken op drummers met 6 tot 7 cymbalen, en wat nu het precies verschil is tussen al die dingen.
Iemand een idee wat het precieze verschil, in Hertz ofzo, is tussen de Bell, Ride, Splash, Sizzle, en de China? En hoe ik die het beste zou nabootsen?
