Chase 031 – Tale Twist : “ Opening A Door Which Was Never Closed”
Tale Twist (http://www.myspace.com/taletwist) experiments. Trying to put different styles of beats and atmospheres in his works, even the more surprising, could define his leitmotiv very well. His taste for experimentations can also be seen in his other works : artwork, drawings and other artistic creations. Hailing from Sao Paolo (Brazil), Tale Twist brings, with “Opening a door which was never closed”, 3 pieces of electronic music, combining Ambient, IDM, beats and breaks with strange noises and voices from different backgrounds and styles in an experimental way. Results are tracks that sound really different from each other but also offer surprising variations themselves.

Chase 033 – Strobcore : “Funky Music Ep”
Already part of the Hardcore Generation compilation (http://www.discogs.com/Various-Hardcore-Generation-The-2nd-Swiss-Experiment/release/1791704), Switzerland based artist, Strobcore (http://www.myspace.com/djstrobcore) sends us his Hardcore waves and signs his first solo release on a digital label. First track, "Hard Redux" is a raw industrial mid-tempo Hardcore killer, combining loud kickdrums and industrial sounds to create a nice progressive hard hitting track.

First release on Chase Records for 2010. I’m happy to present Belarus Buben (http://www.buben-info.narod.ru)’s new release. This incredibly prolific artist strikes again on Chase Records after Chase 023 (http://chaserecords.free.fr/chasereleases/chase023.html). The previous album was composed with some slow, progressive Industrial / Rhythmic Noise pieces. This new release sounds really different and shows another face of Buben’s musical universe. This artist can really produce everything in electronic between Ambient and Hardcore. Chase 038 – The NumberJack : “Hectic Life”
UK based Drum’n’bass producer, The NumberJack, strikes back on Chase Records after his debut Ep “The Death Of A Fly” on Chase 032. This new Ep, is still Jungle / Drum’n’bass oriented but The NumberJack slowed down the tempo and spent more time working on the atmosphere and background layers of his tracks. After a short dark ambient intro, the tracks fall into serious dnb beats and breaks, combining influences from the old school jungle tracks with deep ambient atmospheres.

[chase 041] Lgor : “Ward LP”
Based in Russia, Lgor (http://soundcloud.com/lgor) started producing music (Big beat / Breakbeat / Abstract Hip hop) in 2009 under his Evil Minds alias. In 2010, he started using his new alias : Lgor for his more experimental projects. This “Ward LP” showcases every faces of Lgor musical universe and follows a surprising path among different eletronic music genres. After a Dubstep start, also including Industrial and more experimental elements in the first 3 tracks, “Tunguska Meteor” brings us a puzzling dark Ambient tune. Then « Scheme » explores the boundaries between deconstructed IDM and Breakcore. When « Techno Viking » is a surprising Techno tune, kicking and progressive, « Candyman » then leads us back to Breakcore again. « 36 » ends this LP with another dark and oppressive Ambient track.

For Chase 042, french artist, GroNaZz, offers us 11 sound UFOs. These incredible experimental audio works, combining ambient, noise, abstract, industrial and drone music consist in free interpretations of the original soundtrack and atmosphere from the motion picture “Blueberry, l’expérience secrète”. GroNaZz gives us here his own vision of shamanism and hallucinogenic matters, just working on the sound structure and acoustics. This album is a deep travel into sound experiments and disturbing landscapes of human imagination. It clearly asks for being listened with a nice pair of headphones.

but it was so incredibly beautiful and touching that I thought it deserves to be released and broadcasted to a largest audience.

This is dark & deep Ambient! With "Loophole", Heathcliff Aaldrin, a only 16 years old french artist, delivers 8 incredibly intense ambient tracks, creating what could be the perfect soundtrack for a journey to ethereal and undiscovered worlds. Some of these works can be labelled as space ambient, taking the listener to distant galaxies.
Some other tracks directly come from the deepest abyss where unknown creatures crouch in the darkness. Finally, the remaining tracks explore the abandoned units of a crumbling asylum. You have been warned: this album is sick! And, damned, its author is only 16 years old! Sick, I've told ya!

[Chase 047] Michael T. Roper : “Interpersonal Dilemma”
Michael T. Roper's "Interpersonal Dilemma" consists in 9 pieces of deep electronic music where melancholic arrangements and calm melodies surround IDM constructions, Glitch, Breaks and deconstructed Beats and clicks.
Those sophisticated rhythmics and soulful atmospheres asked Michael hours and hours of hard work in front of his programming tools. The result is incredibly rich and definitely requests headphones listening to catch every variations and nuances of the tracks.
Due to technical reasons we are unable to provide high bitrate (320 kbps) tracks for this new release. We apologize for that. But the whole album is so enchanting that I thought it deserves to be released anyway. So I sincerely hope you won't blame us for the low bitrate and enjoy this really well produced music. [Chase 051] Teknoaidi : “Hiiden Virren Vinguttajat”
Teknoaidi is a Zutsuu side project. This Finnish Hardcore artist drew his inspiration and influences from the Sami culture (native people of Lapland territories in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia) and its history to make this EP. These tribes are heavily marked by their practice of shamanism. With this 5 tracks Ep, Teknoaidi wanted to mix these tribal and shamanic vibes with raw Hardcore / Speedcore beats, reminding the drums of the shamans and leading to a really original result. This 5 tracks are full of energy, able to shake every Hardcore floors with their uptempo beats while keeping a lovely dark and nearly obsessive atmosphere. Let’s call it Shamancore!

ZandoZ Corp.‘s music is dark and Industrial, definitely. ZandoZ Corp.’s music is Breakcore too. ZandoZ Corp.’s music is Ambient as well. But ZandoZ Corp.’s music can also be Speedcore, Techno, Rhythmic Noise or IDM. Well, in fact, ZandoZ Cop.’s music is quite difficult to categorize because we can hear so many influences in his works. With the 7 tracks composing this Babalon’s Reign Ep, you can expect some incredibly rich songs, exploring a wide range of electronic beats, always surrounded by throbbing melodies and nice atmosphere arrangements giving the whole EP a unique signature. What we have here is 4 dark Breakcore tunes from a talented newcomer from Ireland. In this EP, Kantelian delivers sick breaks surrounded by flavourful atmospheres. Starting with “Iaenstaene”, a straight and aggressive tune, with a small amount of raggacore influences, then with “Wrong Half” but especially “Melting Zoo” and “Stone Lions” the listener will be caught by dark and puzzling synths combined with raw industrial elements and oppressive sounds. SiJ is a mainly Industrial / Ambient / Dark Ambient project created in 2011 by Vladislav Sikach from Ukraine. This “Crystal Oscillator” EP contains 7 tracks and showcases a multiple faces electronic beast, started from a downtempo, and almost relaxing, “industrialish“ piece with “Crystal” (feat. Particula) but then evolving to more hostile and harsh territories with “Crystal Oscillator” and its 4 remixes. Those 5 pieces explore a really versatile sound universe, flirt with noisy Hardcore for some of them and then come back to more experimental soundscapes, but always keeping this Industrial mood. Then the EP ends with a nice dark remix of “Attention”, another industrial smasher! Enjoy!

[Chase 056] Swell Sounds : “SK-8”
I’m glad to present the first EP of Swell Sounds, a US based Ambient artist and music student in Seattle. That EP contains 4 atmospheric ambient tunes made with the help of a Sk-8 sampler keyboard. Starting with “Sk-8” an obsessive ambient piece, plunging the listener right into Swell Sounds universe after a few second, then going on with “Eidolan”, the beast of this EP, while the atmosphere is it still keep the overall flavour of the EP, that track is loaded with a relentless flaw of hard beats in its background, giving the track a strong Industrial, and almost Hardcore, feeling. Then Swell Sounds takes us back to calm territories with “Luminance” and “I Feel” two deep and soulful ambient-ish pieces for a nice finish.

[Chase 058] Christian Fiesel : “Gravestone Alley”
I’m really glad to present another great Ambient / Dark Ambient / Drone release on Chase output. This new one is by german artist Christian Fiesel who has already released several albums and EP on Somehow Recordings and Webbed Hand as well. The music on this “Gravestone Alley” EP is dense, cold, glacial. Here are the words of the artist himself about these works: “The EP published here was created spring 2013 and is part of a bigger series with treated voices embedded in spooky spoken words and ghostly choirs. The plot of the EP is talking a walk through a cemetery of all those human loses occur due to technical and human flaws with new technology (i.e. Chernobyl in “Winds Of East”). If there’s a musical direction besides of “experimental” than it might be kind of ambient/dark ambient.”
With these 6 tracks, you can expect ethereal atmospheres interspersed with strange and distant vocal elements like if the listener was drowned and incarcerated into a parallel universe made of oppressive liquid or gaseous forms without any chance of retrieval. This music is designed for headphones listening and is aimed to let your imagination construct its own acoustic prison. Paradoxical, isn’t it?

[Chase 051] Teknoaidi : “Hiiden Virren Vinguttajat”
Teknoaidi is a Zutsuu side project. This Finnish Hardcore artist drew his inspiration and influences from the Sami culture (native people of Lapland territories in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Russia) and its history to make this EP. These tribes are heavily marked by their practice of shamanism. With this 5 tracks Ep, Teknoaidi wanted to mix these tribal and shamanic vibes with raw Hardcore / Speedcore beats, reminding the drums of the shamans and leading to a really original result. This 5 tracks are full of energy, able to shake every Hardcore floors with their uptempo beats while keeping a lovely dark and nearly obsessive atmosphere. Let’s call it Shamancore!

ZandoZ Corp.‘s music is dark and Industrial, definitely. ZandoZ Corp.’s music is Breakcore too. ZandoZ Corp.’s music is Ambient as well. But ZandoZ Corp.’s music can also be Speedcore, Techno, Rhythmic Noise or IDM. Well, in fact, ZandoZ Cop.’s music is quite difficult to categorize because we can hear so many influences in his works. With the 7 tracks composing this Babalon’s Reign Ep, you can expect some incredibly rich songs, exploring a wide range of electronic beats, always surrounded by throbbing melodies and nice atmosphere arrangements giving the whole EP a unique signature. Just give it a try, and you’ll see what I mean, for sure!

[Chase 060] – [Deep] Into The Abyss – 3xCD Electronic Compilation
After 9 years of dedication to free underground electronic music, I've reached to the decision that the time has come for Chase Records Netlabel to plunge into the depths of the Internet ocean, probably forever.
Yes, dear friends and listeners, you've guessed it, this means Chase Records will stops its activities with that 60th and LAST release.
But in any mean I could stop the label without putting all my efforts in trying to offer a last groundbreaking release. So, for this last session I've contacted various artists I love, from all around the world, to ask them to create / send a track they feel to be related with the theme of the abyss. I give them a white card to submit what could be their ideal soundtrack for a diving to the darkest depths of the ocean.
35 of them answered positively to this request and send 36 - believe me - absolutely awesome tracks, covering a wide range of styles and BPM.
As I really wanted this compilation to sound and look professional, I've asked to Arnaud Ruffieux (Ruff-Tang Laboratories / Switzerland - http://www.ruff-tang.com/labs/actualites.html) to provide the mastering for the tracks and Arnaud Coeffic aka Arco / Sonic Area (France) to create the artwork of the release.
The final result of all these concerted efforts is this incredible 3 CDs compilation, available for free, and just waiting for you to hit the download button and PLAY IT OUT LOUD!
Honestly, I couldn't hope more for a last release! So I would like to thank every contributing artists, as I would also like to thank all the previous Chase Records artists, friends, listeners and contributors during those 9 years of pure experience in the awesome world of hard and dark electronic music.
