Docu over praxis

Since 1992 praxis records – a record label currently based in berlin – and its associated artists produce and distribute rather unusual music. in many ways, praxis is an anti-thesis to the major labels of the music industry: the self-attribuzted tagline „visibility is a trap“ is a quote from foucault, there is an affiliated zine called datacide with articles revolving around resistance, subversion and teknivals, and the whole venture is being done „not for the kudos, prestige and cash it might bring in, but for the buzz of inter-activity and mutual respect“. in 2015, silvia biagioni produced „Nothing Essential Happens in the Absence of Noise“ – a documentary short about praxis records, which does not consist of interviews only.

Voor mij absoluut het beste "breakcore" georienteerde label ooit!
Die datacide magazines zijn idd wel heavy stuff  :wow:
veel van die artikels zijn geschreven door de muzikanten zelf, mooi voorbeeld van muziek met een duidelijke boodschap op die manier!
