Back To The Oldskool !!!


Time for another Ruffskool & Stoofpot edition .
This time we invite a living legend of the rave scene back to Antwerp , the one they call DJ Slipmatt !

SLIPMATT
Slipmatt, in the scene for nearly three decades has become a true ‘Godfather of Rave’. Together with close friend and musical colleague, DJ Lime they set up the pirate radio station Raw FM.


In late 1989 the two formed the legendary production duo SL2, alongside MC Jay. They became one of the most incredible acts in underground music history.
‘DJ’s Take Control / Way In My Brain’ and ‘On A Ragga Tip’ were both released on XL Recordings and are one of the most iconic tracks in the history of dance music.

Slipmatt is been DJ-ing ever since at all big events like Fantazia, Raindance, Helter Skelter, Dreamscape to name but a few. He set up is own record labels SMD and Awesome Records and was responsible for countless mixtapes and dance compilations. He was nominated by numerous magazines, websites and radio stations as best DJ and won many awards for his contribution to the scene.


From local clubs in London to big rave events all over the world, from underground parties to international music festivals, from Ibiza to Australia, Slipmatt was booked all over the globe!

Stoofpot and Ruffskool team up and bring the living legend to Antwerp city. Slipmatt will guide you through the history of jungle and hardcore at Kavka.

The Ruffskool residents (Trax , Karbonkid , Havoc & Myself) Will provide you with some proper oldskool beats in a uk breakbeat hardcore jungle fashion ofcourse !

We hebben gevraagd aan Slipmatt om een 92-93 Ravy setje te spelen dus da komt wel goed denk ik .
Sowieso meer de nadruk op breakbeat hardcore deze editie vanaf een uur of 2 ;)

Trax heeft echt ne dikke set gespeeld , Slipmatt begon een beetje trager ma da was precies niet wat m in gedachte had voor de rest van zijne set UBERDIK !!
genoten van de b2b me Havoc ook wel.
Supergoei sfeerke heel de nacht ook :)
Komt da filmke ergens online ofzo ??

Dik feestje, amai. Lang geleden da'k mij nog zo goe geamuseerd heb op een raveke :)
Wss ook omda'k Slipmatt al 6 jaar nimeer gezien had, 't was weer de moeite  :yeah:

was eerst teleurgesteld da hij me zo een of andere controller speelde ma alst zo goed ineen zit maakt da echt niet uit
setje van n-flow en havoc was ook fingerlickin' good
en zeker ni teveel jungle  :yeah: :razz:
